Terms of Service
Effective Date: 3.2.2026
Last Updated: 3.2.2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you (“User,” “you,” or “your”) and the developer and operator of the GL.iNet Discord Bot (“Bot,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) governing your access to and use of the Bot, including all related software, commands, APIs, documentation, and associated services. By inviting, installing, accessing, or otherwise using the Bot within any Discord server, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Bot.
You represent and warrant that you are at least thirteen (13) years of age, or the minimum age required by Discord in your jurisdiction, and that you have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement. If you are installing the Bot on behalf of a Discord server, you represent and warrant that you possess the authority to bind that server and its administrators to these Terms.
The Bot is provided as open-source software and is distributed under the GNU General Public License version 3.0 (GPL-3.0). Your use, modification, and redistribution of the source code are subject to the terms of that license. Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under GPL-3.0; however, hosted or publicly operated instances of the Bot may be subject to additional operational limitations and restrictions described herein.
You agree not to use the Bot in any manner that violates applicable federal, state, or local laws within the United States, nor in any way that violates Discord’s Terms of Service or Community Guidelines. Prohibited uses include, but are not limited to, harassment, unlawful surveillance, spam, automated abuse, denial-of-service behavior, or attempts to exploit or reverse engineer the hosted Bot instance for malicious purposes. We reserve the sole right to suspend, restrict, or permanently block access to any server or user who engages in misuse or abuse.
By adding the Bot to a server, you authorize it to access and process server metadata, user IDs, channel IDs, role IDs, and message content strictly as required to execute its intended functionality. You are solely responsible for configuring appropriate permissions within your Discord server and for ensuring compliance with applicable laws and platform policies.
The Bot is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we expressly disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted service, accuracy, or security. We do not warrant that the Bot will be error-free, continuously available, or immune from external interference, including changes to the Discord API.
In no event shall we be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to the use or inability to use the Bot, including but not limited to data loss, server disruption, reputational harm, or lost revenue. To the maximum extent permitted under applicable law, total liability shall not exceed zero U.S. dollars ($0.00).
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the developer, affiliates, and contributors from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorney’s fees) arising out of your use of the Bot, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party rights.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States and the State of Louisiana, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be resolved exclusively in courts located within Louisiana.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Bot after modifications constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how the GL.iNet Discord Bot collects, uses, stores, and protects information obtained through interaction with Discord users and servers.
The Bot may collect certain limited technical identifiers necessary for operation, including Discord User IDs, usernames, server IDs, channel IDs, role IDs, message IDs, timestamps, and command usage data. Message content is processed only when directly required for command execution, moderation logging, or diagnostic troubleshooting. The Bot does not continuously archive or monitor private messages beyond what is technically required for its functionality.
Information collected is used solely for operational purposes, including executing commands, enabling moderation tools, improving performance, diagnosing technical issues, and maintaining system integrity. We do not sell, rent, lease, or monetize user data.
Data may be temporarily stored in memory or logged within system databases depending on feature configuration. Data retention is limited to the minimum duration necessary to maintain service functionality or comply with applicable legal obligations.
We may disclose information if required by valid legal process, subpoena, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of users or the public. Outside of such circumstances, information is not shared with third parties.
Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are implemented to protect data; however, no system can guarantee absolute security. By using the Bot, you acknowledge this inherent risk.
If you wish to request access to or deletion of personal data associated with your Discord User ID, you may submit a written request to wicked@wickedyoda.com.
This Privacy Policy may be updated periodically. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
