Correction on Flint 3 VLAN Support

(Post by WickedYoda – not an official statement from GL.iNet)

Recently, Raid Owl posted a video suggesting the GL.iNet Flint 3 does not support VLANs and “should not be in a home.” That claim is incorrect and has caused confusion in the community.

Original video with the inaccurate claim:

A new video by Mark’s Tech Stuff addresses this and provides clarification:

“The impression given that the product doesn’t do VLANs is at best confused, at worst just plain false.”

To be clear, the Flint 3 absolutely supports VLANs, including:
• 802.1q tag-based VLANs
• Isolated guest networks
• LAN separation and VLAN routing (via LuCI/OpenWrt)
• Flexible integration with managed switches and VLAN-aware devices
