What is a Blood Moon? 🌕🔴
A Blood Moon happens during a total lunar eclipse when the Earth blocks sunlight from reaching the Moon. Instead of going dark, the Moon turns red because Earth’s atmosphere bends and filters sunlight, letting only red and orange light reach it.
🔹 Why is it red? It’s the same reason sunsets look red—Earth’s atmosphere scatters blue light and lets red light pass through.
🔹 Is it rare? Total lunar eclipses happen 1-3 times a year, but not always in the same place.
🔹 Does it mean anything special? Nope, just an awesome natural event!
